With its abundant forest land and lakeshores Michigan is not only one of the most peaceful places to visit but also one of the most beautiful. One of Michigan’s greatest features is its crystal clear freshwater lakes and streams. In Munising, Michigan you can find another natural and refreshing retreat on the shoreline of Lake Superior at the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. With its waterfalls, sandstone cliffs, inland lakes, forests, beaches, wild life, and sand dunes the beauty here is truly diverse and one of a kind. The park sits on forty miles of Lake Superior shoreline and boasts 73,000 acres of fabulous scenery. For those that are looking for something to do that is rich with history you may want to visit Keweenaw National Historic Park in Calumet, Michigan.
